Who would have thought back in March this year that the North East and indeed the country would still be under strict regulations due to Covid-19!
Its had a big impact on everyone, including Mrs Murray's.
All our normal fundraising had to cease which is a large part of our income along with donations and legacies.
As with everyone we have had to join the virtual age and embrace the internet and of course social media.
We held #CuppaFriday - where you could donate the cost of a coffee etc
Our Canine Carnival went virtual - entries were through Facebook for our dog show
We've also held a couple of 'Adoptathon Auctions' for knitted/crochet collectibles which has really caught your imagination! Some of them have winged their way over the oceans to America and Australia!!
So whats next?
As its the Halloween Weekend why not enter our 'Howloween and Feline Spooky' online Show.
Lost of fun classes for your dogs and cats - we even have a class for all your other pets - big and small
We will be holding another 'Adopathon Auction' for Christmas. Look out for the collectibles on offer at the start of December - keep an eye on our Facebook page

Due to you we have also managed to support vulnerable people and their pets through this strange times with our Pet Foodbank.
We have managed to keep open to provide shelter for lost animals so they could be reunited and find homes for those who sadly had to be given up by their owners.
Provide veterinary care, a warm bed and a full tummy.
Again thanks to you.
Your donations make a difference - thank you for your continued support.
As we all move forwards on this Covid-19 path, we do so together - hand in hand, paw by paw, every step of the way x
Each year over 1000 animals pass through our doors - most abandoned or unwanted. The Home is a registered charity and is largely dependent on donations, legacies and the support of the public to help fund the cost of looking after the animals and securing their future.
