Work underway on new meeting room and play area

Over the winter months work has got underway to extend and upgrade the play area for the dogs and also provide a meeting room.

Last year with the help of Peterkins, Minto, FRED, Love Dogs Sainsburys local and Brewdog Aberdeen we raised just over £16,000 of the estimated £20,000 cost of the work.

At Mrs Murray's we are always looking at ways to enrich the experience the dogs have whilst in our care waiting for their forever homes.

Our play area had long been outgrown by the demands of a busy shelter and the needs of the dogs coming through our doors. We also wanted to provide a meeting room - an area where dogs could meet their prospective new family in a warm calm environment. Lets face it meeting a new dog in the changeable Aberdeen weather isn't fun for the dog, public or staff!

We are delighted that the work is now underway and looking forward to its completion and watching the dogs having fun. If you would like to support the upgrade by making a donation you can do so on the link  - Make a donation click here

Each year over 1500 animals pass through our doors - most abandoned or unwanted. The Home is a registered charity and is largely dependent on donations, legacies and the support of the public to help fund the cost of looking after the animals and securing their future.
