About Jemima

Jemima has lived a very sheltered life and not had any routine or stability. This makes her very shy when in new situations but her confidence has been progressing while in the kennels. She has lived with other dogs previously but it is now her time to shine and she would much prefer a home on her own with someone who can give her a lot of love and attention .

Reason for Rehoming

Change in living circumstances.

Health

Jemima has a full clean bill of health and no known health issues - She did recently have a small lump removed from her back leg.

Training & Home Life

• Housetrained: Mostly - This will need a refresher in a new environment.
• Crate trained: Yes - Would also help with the toilet training.
• Left alone: Short periods - This is something that will need worked on.
• Lead walking: Not used to - but is gaining more confidence.
• Off lead: No - Will need some work on this.
• Travelling: Travels well secured into the boot of car.
• Escaping: Would need a fully secure garden to continue with her toilet training.

Behaviour & Socialising

• People: Very shy - Takes time to warm to you but is very sweet when she does.
• Children: Not suitable around younger children due to her shy nature.
• Dogs: Has been previously bullied so prefer to be on her own - walks well with doggie friends just not to live at home with.
• Cats: Unknown - Pref to be on her own.

Sleeping Arrangements

Jemima does well sleeping on her bed all curled up and cosy.

Ideal Home for Jemima

• Plenty of time to continue her training and socialising.
  
• Patience to work on her toilet training.
• Secure garden with direct access to continue her toilet training.
• Willing to keep on top of her daily grooming and trips to see a groomer.
• No other pets.
