About Lorne

Lorne is a lovely lad who has had a rough start in life. He was found as a stray with a broken leg and needed to urgently undergo treatment to have pins and plates fitted to secure the bone. We will never know what happened to Lorne but he still has faith in humans and just loves us all!

Reason for Rehoming

Sadly Lorne arrived at the centre as a stray and no owner came looking for him.

Health

Lorne is still undergoing some treatment after his surgery but slowly building up on his daily walks and has now recently been neutered.

Training & Home Life

• Housetrained: For most part - Will need a small refresher in new home.
• Crate trained: Yes - Has been on crate rest after his surgery and likes it.
• Left alone: Be fine for short periods but much prefers someone around.
• Lead walking: Walks well on his harness.
• Off lead: No recall - This will need work.
• Travelling: Will be fine secured in boot of car.
• Escaping: Would need a fully enclosed garden with 6 ft+ fencing.

Behaviour & Socialising

• People: Loves to meet new people.
• Children: Would be good with the correct introductions.
• Dogs: Will need introductions as been on rest but he is extremely excitable.
• Cats: No due to high prey drive.

• Plenty time to continue his training
• Garden with 6ft+ fencing
• Plenty time to keep him well socialised
• Willing to work on his recall
• Understanding of his previous leg issues and will not be covered by pet insurance.

If you are lucky enough to be popping off on some holidays in the next couple of weeks sadly this may not be the right time for you to apply for Lorne as he is actively looking for his new home to settle into :)
