They say dogs are sent from heaven in order to help humans to be better people. Here is my life mission on a place called earth…
MY life mission began on 29th December 2004, I was 9 months old.
This family with a 12 year old girl came and took me home. I kept this girl active for taking her on walks everyday. Once before school then once she came home. I made sure the whole family is protected and happy all day by giving them slobbery kisses and shared with them my favourite orange squeaky ball.
My human girl starts academy, she learns to drive that moving vehicle, we go on many trips, I even have my own Instagram account now. We go to the beach, the river, explore castles, go island hopping from Skye, Mull, Staffa, Harris and Lewis, crossed the border to the Lake District and Peak District, camped on the most northernly point at John O’Groats, went on the Hogwarts Express, went canoeing and even tried paddle boarding….. We celebrated every single one of my birthday and adoption date!!!! (Any excuse for cake haha!)
Home is where the heart is as they say. Now I understand this at the ripe old age of 17. Once helping my human explore and discover was exciting and thrilling; home has now become my favourite place. Nothing better than the smell of my own scent and the smell of food in the kitchen.
I relax and sleep most of the day now and I can rest assure that my human have grown up and become the person she was meant to be. I rest here and dream….. 17 is when my human learnt to drive. I discovered I can ‘drive’ now. From here I go anywhere I want and watch my humans from above and beyond.
On the 9th of April 2021, after over 16 years I can say I graduated and passed my driving test with flying colours! My mission has been accomplished. May all my furry friends all be given the chance to fulfil their mission on earth. You humans are deserving of unconditional love and slobbery kisses.
Each year over 1000 animals pass through our doors - most abandoned or unwanted.
